A lot of people ask me, why yoga …my only reply can be why not yoga
Yoga is not just for the flexible, not just for the spiritual ,not just for girls, not just for hippies, not just for stay at home mums, not just for dads having a mid life crisis!

 Yoga is for everyone!

Any one who would like to feel happy, connected, centred and relieved of the stresses of everyday life.

It is really difficult to have only one explanation for  yoga, as I think each person would tell you something different and come to yoga for various reasons, the physical benefits, the spiritual benefits or the mental benefits. My explanation of what yoga is, stems from the original meaning . Yoga means to unite, uniting your mind, body and soul, uniting yourself with other like minded souls, uniting yourself with the earth and your environment and uniting your self with the deeper parts of your self. Yoga gives us tools and practices that assist in moving and over coming obstacles in our lives now.

The physical practice of yoga in my classes is called Vinyasa. Vinyasa is movement linked with breath in order to move the body and relieve stagnant energy, locked muscles or emotional stress from the body.
My classes are influenced and inspired by the Jivamukti method of yoga and will have asana ( poses) uplifting music, readings, breathing practices ( pranayama) inspirational and thought provoking focus and topics as well as meaningful hands on assists where needed woven throughout the practice  and a relaxing mini neck massage to finish whilst in relaxation  (Savasana)

See the timetable above for class times!
